UC UCEDD Collaborates with Community Partners in Home Think Tank

Home Think Tank is a collaboration of Cincinnati area partners, established in 2007 and dedicated to creating accessible and affordable options for community living for people with disabilities. During 2012, Home Think Tank held a series of four community workshops for people with disabilities, family members, and advocates to explore options for living in the community:

 

  • The Basics with Keynote Speaker John Maltby MSW from the Westchester Medical Center UCEDD
  • Creative Housing Options with Keynoters Derrick Dufresne MBPA of Community Resource Alliance and the Institute on Public Policy for People with Disabilities and Kathy Foley of LEAP’s Aging and Disability Resources Center
  • Families Taking the Lead  with keynoter Marcie Brost, a consultant with the Wisconsin Department of Health Services
  • Families Taking the Lead: More Stories of Integrated, Affordable and Accessible Homes with keynoters Marcie Brost  and David Porterfield of Movin’Out,  Madison Wisconsin
