Why did you join CCHMC/DDBP? To work with the children and families and because the staff and faculty seemed knowledgeable and passionate about making a difference in people’s lives.
What do you like most about your job? The children and families and my colleagues.
How has your life changed since becoming involved with CCHMC/DDBP? My life has changed in more ways than I can describe. I have gotten to be a part of wonderful teams to help children and families, been given amazing leadership opportunities, and worked with the community on efforts that I hope will make a long-term impact. I have learned about my own strengths and needs and how to build up others based on each person’s skills and ideas.
What’s your greatest achievement? My greatest achievement is becoming the LEND/UCEDD Training Director and being able to have a hand in educating the future leaders in the DD field.
What do you like to do in your spare time? Hang out with my husband, John, and our dogs, Siggy and Marley and our friends; travel to new places; drink wine; go to sporting activities like baseball games and Xavier basketball games
