Karen is a clinical researcher and occupational therapist at within the Department of Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy (OT/PT) at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital. Karen holds a faculty appointment as an assistant professor at the University of Cincinnati and a faculty member for the Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental and Related Disability (LEND) Program. Karen’s research focus is on intervention research involving children with neurodevelopmental disabilities such as autism, cortical visual impairment, cerebral palsy, and hydrocephalus. Karen has been involved in leading research projects for the LEND program for the past 6 years focusing on feeding in children with autism.
“I enjoy being a part of the LEND program as it affords me the opportunity to work with highly skilled trainees and other collaborators within a multi-disciplinary team to develop and implement research programs.
In my free time, I enjoy being outside with my children. We like to travel to new places and go on adventures to new playgrounds.”
