Policy
UCCEDD monitors local, state, and national policies that impact or could potentially impact the lives of individuals with disabilities and their families. UCCEDD works with policy makers to develop and improve laws, regulations, and policies to support the self-determined lives of people with disabilities. UCCEDD also trains and educates self-advocates, family members, and professionals to participate in the advocacy procress. This participation often begins with a basic understanding of the policies that impact our lives.
